BIMei Taxonomy
A client-neutral, publicly licensed vocabulary for describing BIM resources. It pairs one subject taxonomy — what a resource is about — with classification facets that describe the resource itself: what form it takes, when in the asset lifecycle it applies, how it is delivered and how it is scheduled. Every concept below belongs to one immutable release.

ONT's active pointer names a different release. The content below is still exactly as admitted — releases are immutable — but it is shown here as history, not as the current taxonomy.
Subject taxonomy (25)
What a resource is about. Its members are BIM Dictionary Terms with their own identity, referenced here rather than redefined.
Classification facets (17)
Controlled values describing the resource itself. A classified resource — a Course, say — carries a subject from the taxonomy above plus a value from each facet that applies to it. Each facet is independent; none is a sub-division of another.

Where this taxonomy's authority sits
ONT is the public taxonomy authority. It is the only surface that admits a release and names the active one; releases are immutable and consumers pin an exact release ID rather than following a moving pointer. BIMd remains the editorial authority for BIMe Terms, so Term-identified concepts are carried here as references, never as copies. SMC remains the evidence and assignment authority: it holds the governed classification receipts that bind a subject to a concept in an exact release. Those receipts are not published here — this browser shows the vocabulary, not who has been classified with it.

Release artefacts
The signed release directory is distributed from an access-controlled repository. ONT holds and re-emits the two core artefacts itself — the release manifest and the collection payload — byte-for-byte as admitted, so they can be fetched publicly and checked against the SHA-256 recorded below. The remaining artefacts are identified here but are not served by ONT.
